FAQs

  • Yes! While I focus on Catholic weddings, I am well experienced in photographing engagements, family, maternity, and senior pictures. Other projects I have done are school dances, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, product and showcase, headshots, and more. If you are needing a photographer for any project, let’s see if we’re a good fit!

  • Check out all the pricing details of my packages here. If you are looking for less than 8 hours, want to add an additional $100/hour, or whatever it may be, we can work something out.

  • Yes, I am! Pricing includes driving distance within a one-hour radius of Kansas City, Missouri. If you are beyond that, additional travel fees are based on the IRS business mileage rate which varies year-to-year. If beyond 5 hours of driving time, a roundtrip flight may need to be booked. Lodging fees are also applicable. I absolutely LOVE traveling, so I am happy to make something work out to reduce costs (e.g. staying with family/friends instead of a hotel).

  • I photograph solo, but if you are interested in booking a second or associate shooter, let me know!

  • Once the proposal is signed, we will schedule a 45-60 minute call where we can cover everything from start to finish. If you are in the KC area, I’d love to get together in person for a coffee or a whiskey!

We can meet again before your wedding date to go over last minute details. I will share with you my phone number, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any point if you have any questions or updates!

My open door policy applies for all photoshoots!

  • I primarily use my dual battery-gripped Canon R5 and my Canon RP as a backup. The main lenses I use are the 28-70mm F2 (my go-to, versatile zoom lens) and 85mm F1.8 (ideal for portraits). Sometimes I will rent other equipment like camera bodies, lenses, external flashes, etc. Cameras are readily equipped with external flashes when needed. I carry extra memory cards, spare batteries, and external SSDs. Photographs are edited on my MacBook Pro or iMac using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. Galleries are delivered digitally via Pixieset.

  • I like to describe my editing style as soft, light, airy, warm, simple, and intimate! I want your photos to look and feel timeless :)

For black and white photos, I will handpick a select few to only be B&W. A few sets will include both B&W and color. Not every colored photo will have a B&W copy.

  • After our session, I immediately back up your photos to external hard drives. Your original files are kept in my memory cards until your gallery is edited, completed, and delivered to you.

After sorting through your photos (a process called culling), I edit your gallery using Adobe Lightroom and, when necessary, Adobe Photoshop. Editing includes but is not limited to preset application, color correction, color enhancements, crop and leveling, lighting adjustments, and more. Sometimes I will clear blemishes, stains, and other impurities when applicable and appropriate. It is against my policy to do any sort of body or face altering, or any inappropriate use of AI.

  • With the rise of AI technology, I understand this may raise questions on the authenticity of photography and artwork. With careful discernment, I may use Adobe’s built-in AI tools to enhance, but not alter, photographs. I use this tool mostly for reducing noise, removing distracting elements from the background, etc.

  • All galleries are delivered digitally via email. Galleries are password-protected, and you are able to securely download and order high quality prints directly from the gallery. Custom USB drives and wedding albums are available in various packages and à la carte options.

I strive to send preview pictures within 48 hours of your wedding (possibly sooner depending on the package selected). All wedding galleries will be delivered no later than 10 weeks after your wedding date. All other photoshoots generally take no more than 3 weeks.

Photography is my side business. I own a retail business and a whiskey tasting lounge as my full time career, so I appreciate your patience and understanding! If for whatever reason I foresee your gallery taking longer than my usual time, you will be notified as soon as possible and I will offer some sort of compensation for the inconvenience.

  • I don’t always believe that “more is better” which is why I deliver a minimum of 400+ photos for wedding galleries. I do not guarantee a hard amount as various factors affect the end quantity (e.g. having a second shooter, hiring me for additional hours, etc.)

For one-hour photoshoots, I generally have a minimum of 30 photos. Headshots, mini-sessions, and other custom projects will vary on a case-by-case basis.

  • Majority of photographers do not deliver RAW files. I do not send RAW files to my clients for a number of reasons. The photographer’s job is to pick the very best of a set. You are not only investing in the photo gallery itself, but also in the photographer’s time and talent. Delivering RAW files would make your investment invaluable as anyone can pick up a camera and press a button. Post-production is the majority of a photographer’s scope of work because it takes skill and passion to turn a photograph into a story!

Any requests on delivering RAW files will be respectfully declined by me.
